APP Launches New Project to Engage Hispanic Voters

December 4, 2023

WASHINGTON — Today, the American Principles Project (APP) announced the launch of a new project seeking to engage Hispanic voters on pro-family issues ahead of next year’s presidential election. As part of the effort, APP will communicate directly with Hispanics in key swing states via political ads as well as on Spanish-language media.

The program will be led by new APP Director of Hispanic Engagement Alfonso Aguilar. Aguilar previously served as chief of the Office of U.S. Citizenship under President George W. Bush and has been a longtime conservative leader within the Hispanic community.

Aguilar released the following statement on the importance of this effort heading in 2024:

“There has never been a greater opportunity for pro-family conservatives to win over the Latino vote. Democrats’ radical agenda — from their support for gender insanity to their embrace of cultural Marxism — has been one of the primary reasons many Hispanics are shifting rightward. If we are proactive in engaging directly with the community, meeting them where they are, we can have a massive impact that will be felt not just in this coming election but also for many more to come.”

APP President Terry Schilling also emphasized the significance of the project:

“In the past year, research conducted by our team has confirmed what we’ve already known: pro-family issues resonate with Hispanic voters. There is a huge opening for us to connect with these voters, and APP intends to do so in ways other groups in our movement haven’t, bringing our message directly to them. Every vote will be critical in 2024, and we see this effort as a pivotal component of our plan to ensure pro-family candidates nationwide are victorious next year.”
