This Site collects information from the users at various points. For example, we collect and/or request information when a user:

  3. Fills out a contact form.

The information requested may vary between the different options, and the user will be told what the collected information is before entering.

 

Gathering and Sharing of Information, Links to External and Co-Branded Websites

We monitor traffic patterns on the Site for aggregate use to analyze trends and administer the Site in order to improve its layout, design, and performance; and to permit Site personalization and streamlining to create the best experience we can for our users. In order to perform analysis permitting such personalization and improvement of Site design and user experience, we reserve the right to employ suitable third parties with whom we share the information necessary to accomplish these objectives. These statistics include no personally identifying information.

 

Where appropriate, we share aggregated statistical information with certain nonprofit partners and affiliates. These statistics include no personally identifying information. Except as described in this Privacy Statement, we will not sell or rent your e-mail address. The Site may share e-mail addresses with reputable third parties in order to help us provide better service to users. These third parties agree not to use your information for their own marketing purposes.

 

We may provide personal identifying and account information in special cases such as enforcement of our Terms of Site Use, or as required by law or legal process to protect and defend the rights and safety of our Site and its users.

By using our Site, the user agrees to the terms and conditions set forth in this Privacy Statement and the Site Terms of Use INCLUDING ALL LIMITATIONS OF DAMAGES PROVISIONS which are an integral part hereof and the user consents to the collection and use of this information by The Site as disclosed in this Privacy Statement.

Cookies

You may have heard of the term “cookies”. Cookies are routinely used by most, if not all, E- commerce merchants. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a user’s hard drive through the Web browser program containing information about the user which enables us to track and personalize the Site to enhance your experience. For instance, by setting a cookie on our Site, we could (if applicable) provide you with storage of items in your shopping cart between visits. However, if a user rejects the cookie, they may still use our Site although we will be unable to provide our users with a personalized experience using the cookie data.We reserve the right to utilize cookie data in coordination with reputable third party organizations to improve the design, layout, and performance of this site.

 

Surveys & Contests

From time-to-time we may request information from the users of the Site via surveys or petitions. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary, and the users of the Site have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact and demographic information (such as zip code, age level, etc.). We use such information to notify to improve the user’s experience on the Site.

 

Children’s Online Privacy

We recognize the particular importance of protecting the privacy of children. Consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we will not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. When a user makes a donation here or one of our associated websites, the user is representing to us that they are an adult. If a child has provided personally identifiable information, we ask that a parent or guardian email us and we will delete the information pertaining to the child from our records.

 

Account Updates and Opting Out

We may occasionally send our community members announcements and updates, which contain important information about the Site and service offerings which we believe to be of value to our users. In order to do this, we may enhance or merge the information we collect on the Site with data from third parties for purposes of marketing products or services to our customers and users.

 

We may communicate with the users of the Site via e-mail, telephone, mail, or fax if you provide such information to us. The users of the Site are always given the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having their online information used for purposes not directly related to the Site at the point at which we ask for the information or when they receive an online requested promotional communication.

 

For example, our e-mail messages have an “unsubscribe” feature for users of the Site who don’t want to be notified about special offers in the future. Users can simply “Reply” back to the e-mail message and type “unsubscribe” in the subject field. Upon receipt of the reply, we will remove that e-mail address from our e-mail list. If a user has more than one e-mail address, he or she should include the other addresses as well to ensure proper updating of their account information.

 

Donations

American Principles Project (APP) is a nonprofit corporation recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization. Your contribution, which is not required to be publicly disclosed and is not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes, will be used to further the mission and purposes of APP, in the discretion of its board of directors and officers. Although APP periodically uses its general treasury funds for political purposes, it does not accept contributions designated to support or oppose specific candidates.

 

Texting and Text Messages

 

You agree to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text (e.g., SMS and MMS) messages from American Principles Project, including text messages that may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system, to the mobile telephone number you provided when signing up or any other number that you designate. All the different types of messages you may receive (Informational messages and vote reminders) shall be known collectively as the “Programs.” Consent to receive automated marketing text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

Message Frequency

Message frequency will vary. American Principles Project reserves the right to alter the frequency of messages sent at any time, so as to increase or decrease the total number of sent messages. American Principles Project also reserves the right to change the phone number from which messages are sent.

 

Not all mobile devices or handsets may be supported and our messages may not be deliverable in all areas. American Principles Project, its service providers and the mobile carriers supported by the program are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

 

Phone Calls

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive calls, including autodialed and automated calls, to that number with campaign notifications from American Principles Project. If you wish to opt out of future calls, you may contact us at info@americanprinciplesproject.org or follow any opt-out instructions provided during the call. Call frequency may vary. Standard phone rates may apply.

 

No phone information will be shared by us with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Call originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties unless required by law.

 

Cancellation

If you do not wish to continue participating in any Program or no longer agree to these Terms, you agree to text the applicable Short Code (or regular long code phone number where applicable) or directly reply to any mobile message received from a Program with

STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT in order to opt out of that Program at any time. You may receive an additional mobile message confirming your decision to opt out. 

 

You understand and agree that the foregoing options are the only reasonable and exclusive methods of opting out. You also understand and agree that any other method of opting out, including, but not limited to, texting words or phrases other than those set forth above or verbally requesting (American Principles Project) to remove you from our list, is not a reasonable means of opting out. You may be subscribed to multiple Programs across different Short Codes or regular long code phone numbers, and therefore you must separately text or reply STOP to each Short Code or long code phone number from which you wish to unsubscribe.

 

Support

For support regarding the Program, text “HELP” to the applicable Program’s Short Code or long code, or email us at (info@americanprinciplesproject.org). Please note that the use of this email address, or texting “HELP” to the Program’s Short or long Code is not an acceptable method of opting out of the program. Opt outs must be submitted in accordance with the procedures set forth above. 

 

Our Disclaimer of Warranty
The Programs are offered on an “as-is” basis and may not be available in all areas at all times and may not continue to work in the event of product, software, coverage or other changes made by your wireless carrier. We will not be liable for any delays or failures in the receipt of any mobile messages connected with any Program. Delivery of mobile messages is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider/network operator, and is outside of our control. We are not liable for delayed or undelivered mobile messages.

 

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. We will only use information you provide to transmit your mobile

messages and respond to you, if necessary. This includes sharing information with our program

partners, message content providers, phone companies, and vendors who assist us in the

delivery of mobile messages. EXCEPT AS SET FORTH IN THIS SECTION, WE DO NOT SELL, RENT,

LOAN, TRADE, LEASE OR OTHERWISE TRANSFER FOR PROFIT ANY PHONE NUMBERS OR

CUSTOMER INFORMATION COLLECTED THROUGH PROGRAMS TO ANY THIRD PARTY.

Nonetheless, we reserve the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy

any law, regulation or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to protect our rights or

property. When you complete forms online or otherwise provide us information in connection

with a Program, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and true information. You agree not

to use a false or misleading name or a name that you are not authorized to use. If in our sole

discretion, we believe that any such information is untrue, inaccurate, or incomplete, or you

have opted into a Program for an ulterior purpose, we may refuse you access to the Program

and pursue any appropriate legal remedies.

This Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions is strictly limited to these Programs and has no

effect on any other privacy policy(ies) that may govern the relationship between you and us in

other contexts.
