Tonight at the Democratic National Convention, party delegates are expected to vote to officially ratify the party’s 2024 platform.

The platform contains support for numerous transgender-related policies which would have wide-ranging impacts across American society. Some examples include:

• Support for so-called “gender-affirming care” — transgender drugs and surgeries — for minors, and opposition to laws which restrict these practices.
• Support for President Biden’s illegal Title IX rewrite, which will force schools to allow boys into girls’ bathrooms, locker rooms, and other private spaces as well as enable boys to compete in girls’ sports.
• Opposition to parent-led efforts nationwide to remove sexually explicit content from school libraries.
• Support for President Biden’s foster care rule which threatens to remove children from foster parents who decline to “affirm” their transgender identities.
• Support for so-called “conversion therapy” bans, which make it illegal for therapists to help distressed children feel comfortable in their own bodies.
• Support for the so-called “Equality Act,” which would cement many of the above policies into federal civil rights law.

In response, Terry Schilling, president of American Principles Project (APP), released the following statement blasting the new platform:

“When someone tells you who they are, believe them. And Democrats are not shy about telling us exactly who they are.

“This party, which is putting forward the most anti-family ticket in history, is now set to ratify the most anti-family platform in history. Despite massive pushback on their unpopular agenda, they continue to double down on their support for putting pornography and gender ideology in public schools, allowing boys into girls’ sports and private spaces, pushing kids down the transgender medical pipeline towards chemical castration and bodily mutilation, and punishing parents who disagree.

“This is the real Harris-Walz agenda, and they have now put it in writing for everyone to see. Parents need to be aware of exactly how destructive a Kamala Harris presidency would be, which is why from now until Election Day, APP will be fully focused on getting this message out to America’s families. We cannot afford another four years of this terrifying agenda.”
