To Joe Biden and Democrats: America is not an evil country.

Amid the recent outbreak of violent riots in many American cities, progressives have been promoting the idea that the United States was not founded in 1776, but in 1619, when the first slaves were brought to America’s shores.

According to this ideologically distorted history, the American Revolution was not fought to advance liberty but rather to preserve slavery and oppression. And through efforts like The New York Times’ “1619 Project,” the Left is now trying to teach America’s K-12 students that our nation’s founding was irredeemably flawed and that 1619, not 1776, reflects the true spirit of the United States.

America’s citizens must stand up to defend our country’s true legacy and ideals from the radical leftists who would erase them.

I PLEDGE:

• To defend America’s founding date as July 4th, 1776;
• To reject the revisionist history which places America’s founding in 1619;
• To uphold America’s founding principles as written in the Declaration of Independence: “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness”;
• And to promote America’s bedrock standard of equality under the law.
