American Principles Project Testifies in Front of the Wisconsin Assembly in Favor of Banning Transition Surgeries for Minors

March 13, 2025

MADISON, WISCONSIN – Yesterday, American Principles Project (APP) Government Affairs Director Sandra Asuncion, testified before the Wisconsin Assembly in support of AB 104, the Help Not Harm Act. This legislation would ban so-called “gender affirming” care, including puberty blockers, cross sex hormones, and sex-change procedures for minors.

There are 26 states that have banned these practices against minors, and 33 countries on four continents have done so as well.

Sandra Asuncion released the following statement after testifying in favor of the Help Not Harm Act:

“If minors cannot get a tattoo or buy alcohol or cigarettes, they should not have access to irreversible transgender drugs and surgeries. We are fighting tooth and nail at the state level against the woke transgender agenda that is hellbent on destroying our children just to make a profit. It was an honor to testify in favor of such important legislation, and I am hopeful that the Wisconsin Assembly will listen to common sense, polling, and science and put an end to these terrible practices.”
