APP Congratulates Ted Budd on Victory in N.C. GOP Senate Primary

May 17, 2022

According to reports, Rep. Ted Budd has clinched the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in North Carolina. He will face Democrat Cheri Beasley in November’s general election.

Earlier this year, Budd joined with hundreds of other candidates nationwide in signing American Principles Project’s Big Family Pledge, promising to preserve women’s sports, protect children from sexualization and racial indoctrination, and defend life at all stages.

In response, APP President Terry Schilling released the following statement cheering the results:

“We are excited to congratulate Ted Budd on his victory in tonight’s primary. Congressman Budd has been a consistent conservative leader, and through both his record and signing our Big Family Pledge, he has proven he stands with the pro-family movement on the issues of greatest importance. North Carolina families can be confident he will champion their interests in the U.S. Senate.

“APP is proud to fully endorse Ted Budd’s candidacy, and we encourage pro-family voters to support him in November.”
