APP Cheers New Pro-Family Planks in Republican Party Platform
Today, the Republican National Committee’s Platform Committee officially adopted a new party platform ahead of the 2024 election. The platform includes significant commitments on cultural issues, including promises to protect women’s sports and Title IX, ban taxpayer funding for sex-change procedures and for the promotion of gender ideology in schools, and safeguard free speech online.
Terry Schilling, president of American Principles Project (APP), was present at the committee meeting in Milwaukee and involved in the platform approval process. Schilling released the following statement praising the final document:
“Today’s vote to approve the new Republican Party platform is another historic win for American families. This new platform prioritizes the most important elements of President Trump’s pro-family campaign, including his pledges to protect a fair playing field for female athletes, to safeguard children from the predatory transgender industry, and to preserve the right to free speech online for all Americans. All of these positions put the GOP in line with the vast majority of voters and draw an important contrast with the radical, far-left views of Democrats.
“APP is proud to support the adoption of this platform by the party, and we look forward to working in the coming months to ensure voters understand the choice in this election between pro-family Republican candidates like President Trump and extremist, anti-family Democrats like Joe Biden.”
