WASHINGTON — Today, American Principles Project (APP) and American Principles Project PAC announced the launch of a digital ad campaign aimed at exposing the radicalism of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and other Democratic candidates on transgender issues. The campaign is a part of a $4 million election effort which will target persuadable Democrats and independent voters in key swing states, most notably with a $2 million spend in Michigan.
Three digital ads were released this week in Michigan drawing attention to Joe Biden’s and Sen. Gary Peters’ support for policies which would allow biological males to compete in women’s sports and push children into dangerous, life-altering sex-change sterilization procedures at young ages. You can watch the ads here, here, and here.
A July poll of Michigan voters from APP and SPRY Strategies found that Democrats’ positions on both these issues are highly unpopular with Michigan voters:
- 78% of Michigan voters opposed allowing biological males who say they identify as transgender to compete in women’s sports.
- 79% of Michigan voters opposed allowing children under the age of 18 who say they identify as transgender to undergo physical sex-change surgeries or chemical treatments.
Terry Schilling, executive director at American Principles Project, released the following statement on the campaign:
After last month’s Democratic National Convention, it’s clear Joe Biden is trying to run a ‘back-to-normal’ campaign. But his platform is anything but normal — in fact, it’s more radical than ever.
Biden and his fellow Democrats have pledged to use the power of the federal government to destroy women’s sports and push young children into highly experimental and dangerous sex-change procedures. These are positions which the vast majority of American voters disagree with. And yet Democrats are rarely called out on it, getting a free pass from the media and even Republicans.
We are committed to changing that. In the coming weeks, we will be making sure voters in Michigan and nationwide know the extreme agenda Joe Biden and Democrats want to impose on the country. And we are confident voters will reject that agenda in November.
