President Trump Takes Bold Action to Protect Families on Historic First Day
Today, following his swearing in as the 47th president of the United States, Donald Trump began his second term by signing a historic group of executive orders, delivering on his campaign promise to enact an America First agenda.
Among these executive actions were many aimed at defending American families and reversing the far left’s unpopular culture war, including:
- Recognizing the reality of the sex binary and removing gender ideology from federal government policy, including ending the practice of housing males in female prisons and women’s shelters, defunding sex-change procedures for prisoners, and clarifying that Title IX protects the integrity of female sports.
- Ending government support for “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” (DEI) as well as other discriminatory programs.
- Prohibiting the censorship of protected free speech by the federal government.
In response, Terry Schilling, president of American Principles Project (APP), released the following statement cheering the president’s actions:
“It is truly a new day in America!
“Today, President Donald Trump has begun the effort of restoring our nation to the principles that made it great. He’s off to an excellent start. With the hundreds of executive orders signed today, President Trump has taken important steps to eliminate gender ideology and DEI from our government, depoliticize our military and justice system, and reinstitute protections for free speech and religious liberty.
“Of course, much work still remains to undo the damage done by years of destructive, far-left policies. But President Trump has made clear he understands and is prepared for the task ahead. We look forward to working with the incoming administration to ensure the president is able to deliver on his ambitious, pro-family agenda. It’s time to Make America Great Again!”
