APP Calls on Congress to Defend Christian Colleges in Light of Biden Admin’s Attacks

April 1, 2025

WASHINGTON — Today, American Principles Project (APP) is calling on Congress to come to the aid of Christian colleges and universities after being unfairly targeted by the Biden Administration’s Department of Education – specifically by the Office of Enforcement. APP’s recent report found that nearly 70% of the Office of Enforcement actions involved faith-based and career schools, despite these institutions representing less than 10% of students nationwide.

For more information on the Office of Enforcement, visit APP’s new website highlighting in detail the report and its findings: ProtectChristianColleges.org

APP President, Terry Schilling, sent a letter calling on the House Committee on Education & the Workforce and the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions to hold hearings to address these egregious actions and to find ways to protect Christian colleges and universities moving forward. Terry Schilling released the following statement regarding the letter:

“We cannot allow the Biden Administration’s persecution of Christian colleges and universities to go unpunished. It’s time for Congress to launch a full investigation into these unjust actions and find ways to protect Christian schools in the future from those who seek to destroy them.”
