New APP Report: Holding the Transgender Industry Accountable
WASHINGTON — Today, American Principles Project (APP) released a new report highlighting the rapid growth of so-called “gender medicine,” particularly concerning minors, how the industry has preyed on the vulnerable to turn a profit, and ways to hold them accountable.
Over the past decade, the number of people undergoing medicalized gender transition has skyrocketed. At the same time, the number of detransitioners has risen at a similar rate. Their stories paint a picture of a medical field totally divorced from any sense of responsibility for the patients they serve. Again and again, lawsuits and investigations uncover a routine failure among practitioners in the field to treat underlying psychological issues or adequately inform patients of the many risks and harms associated with these procedures, while they instead fast-track vulnerable individuals down the dangerous road of transition. Despite these cries for accountability — from detransitioners, from voters, and from the global medical community — there has been little to no justice for the gender industry’s victims in the United States.
APP’s report details ways the Trump Administration can take additional steps to hold the Gender Industrial Complex accountable. You can read the full report here.
Terry Schilling, President of American Principles Project, released the following quote regarding the report:
“These so-called medical ‘experts’ are continuing to prey on the vulnerable under the guise of ‘science’ all to make a quick buck. President Trump and his administration have been on the frontlines in this fight, and our report we released today highlights a few other ways they can hold the Gender Industrial Complex accountable. Now is the time to get justice on behalf of these victims and send a message to the trans industry that we will not allow them to harm our children and families ever again.”
