Do Joe Biden and Sen. Gary Peters really support boys competing in women’s sports?
Yes, unequivocally. Joe Biden has pledged to work to pass, and Gary Peters has co-sponsored, the Equality Act, which would create a special nondiscrimination protection for “gender identity” in existing civil rights law. Gender identity — a trait that is entirely subjective — would thus take precedence over biological sex in the law, allowing anyone access to sex-segregated facilities and activities based on one’s own self-identified gender. This would include women’s sports. Title IX protects the opportunities of women to compete against other women for scholarships, educational opportunities, and in athletic competition, but it makes this distinction based on biological sex. The Equality Act would functionally replace “sex” with “gender identity” in Title IX, thus making it illegal to discriminate on the basis of “gender identity,” even though the law itself was designed to create opportunities specifically for biological women. This would set the stage for any biological male who claims to identify as a female the ability to compete in sports intended for female competition.
Do Joe Biden and Sen. Gary Peters support the Black Lives Matter organization?
Yes. Joe Biden has repeatedly voiced support for the protests and riots, calling them a “wake up call” for America, and even kneeling in solidarity with the movement’s goals. Sen. Gary Peters has done the same and recently joined the demonstrators on the streets in Detroit. Biden also runs a pro-BLM ad saying, “We have to continue the activism. We have to continue protesting.
Biden’s choice for VP, Kamala Harris, has gone so far as to lionize the group’s cofounder Alicia Garza. Garza publicly pressured the Biden campaign to choose “[a] Black woman in particular and not just a woman of color,” as his running mate. The Biden campaign appears to have followed her advice by picking Harris, who has also publicly praised the BLM organization on numerous occasions.
Do Joe Biden and Sen. Gary Peters want to teach our kids that America is evil?
Yes. School districts across the country are implementing Black Lives Matter-themed curricula, much like the New York Times’ 1619 Project, which falsely claims that America was founded primarily to protect slavery and racism. Left-wing activists continue to compare America to the Nazis and the KKK. Biden and Peters have declined to condemn any of these actions.
Does the Black Lives Matter organization support the end of the traditional family?
Yes. From their website’s “What We Believe” section:
“We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure.”
Does the Black Lives Matter organization support defunding the police?
Yes. From their website’s “Defund the Police” petition:
“We call for radical, sustainable solutions that affirm the prosperity of Black lives… We call for a national defunding of police.”
Does the Black Lives Matter organization support Marxist goals such as abolishing capitalism?
Yes. BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors described her and her fellow organizers as “trained Marxists.” Cullors got her start at an organization that expressed appreciation for the work of the US Communist Party and praised “pro-communist resistance to the US empire.”
“The first thing, I think, is that we actually do have an ideological frame. Myself and Alicia in particular are trained organizers,” she said, referring to BLM co-founder Alicia Garza.
“We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories. And I think that what we really tried to do is build a movement that could be utilized by many, many black folk,” Cullors added in the interview with Jared Ball of The Real News Network.
While promoting her book “When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir” in 2018, Cullors described her introduction to and support for Marxist ideology.
She described to Democracy Now! how she became a trained organizer with the Labor/Community Strategy Center, which she called her “first political home” under the mentorship of Mann, its director, Breitbart reported.
The center, which describes its philosophy as “an urban experiment,” uses grassroots organization to “focus on Black and Latino communities with deep historical ties to the long history of anti-colonial, anti-imperialist, pro-communist resistance to the US empire,” according to the outlet.
It also expresses its appreciation for the work of the US Communist Party, “especially Black communists,” as well as its support for “the great work of the Black Panther Party, the American Indian Movement, Young Lords, Brown Berets, and the great revolutionary rainbow experiments of the 1970s,” Breitbart reported.
