Evers Vetoes Age Verification
Schilling: WI Dems stand with predatory pornographers, full-stop

Washington, D.C. – April 7, 2026 – Radical Wisconsin Democrats celebrated Good Friday by vetoing commonsense internet safeguards for children.

APP President Terry Schilling released the following statement:

“Wisconsin Democrats stand with predatory pornographers, full-stop. Families deserve basic safeguards in the digital age, but Gov. Evers has chosen to defend a multi-billion industry that profits from addicting and exploiting children,” Schilling said.

“This shameful veto is a betrayal of Wisconsin’s children, and every Democrat who supported it must be held accountable by voters who are sick of politicians putting Big Porn’s bank accounts ahead of kids’ safety. Wisconsinites deserve a governor who will put Family first, and APP is committed to making that happen in 2026.”

APP has helped to champion age verification at the state and federal level. Twenty-five states have age verification laws in place, delivering peace of mind to parents and families. APP is committed to ensure that all Americans enjoy these protections moving forward.
