Massive Win in Fight for America’s Children
Texas Children’s Hospital to pay millions in reparations for damages done to children

May 18, 2026, Washington, D.C. – The Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) has agreed to pay more than $10 million in damages and civil penalties and will soon build a first of its kind detransition clinic to assist vulnerable children, as part of a settlement with the Department of Justice and state authorities.

APP President Terry Schilling released the following statement:

“Texas Children’s Hospital failed its patients and numerous families by placing profits above the wellbeing of vulnerable children. This landmark settlement sends a clear message to the Trans Industrial Complex that mutilation is not medical care. APP has led the fight to protect children from irreversible surgeries and will not stop fighting until every child is safe from the $4.5 billion transgender industry.

APP encourages other states to follow Texas’s lead and eliminate the industrialized butchery of children.”

The full Department of Justice settlement can be found here.
