American Principles Project PAC launches $10 Million midterm push

Washington D.C. – August 6, 2026 – As the nation gears up for midterm elections this November, the American Principles Project PAC is launching a digital campaign aimed toward protecting America’s families. The $10 million campaign will target competitive races across the country, beginning with an ad showing Texas Democrat Senate nominee James Talarico in his true colors.

The 30-second spot, titled “Dr. Talarico,” opens with a little girl standing in a field of flowers, counting as the narrator describes her dream of growing up, falling in love and becoming a mother. The scene then cuts to the same child lying on an operating table under anesthesia. A masked surgeon leans over her wearing a badge that reads “DR JAMES TALARICO.”

APP is targeting Talarico radical transgender agenda, including his opposition to Texas’ ban on sex changes for minors. “The trans industry preys on confused children,” the narrator says, citing the “irreversible puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones” and “sex-change surgeries” that Talarico has defended.

The full ad can be seen Here.

APP President Terry Schilling provided the following statement ahead of the ad blitz:

“James Talarico wears Christianity like a skin suit to conceal his radical trans agenda and unwavering devotion to advancing the $4.5 billion Trans Industrial Complex that profits from mutilating children. Texas voters need to know his record of voting against bans on irreversible sex changes for minors, while cozying up to surgeons who performed them. Our ad exposes the truth behind the seminary student facade.

“In stark contrast, Ken Paxton and the DOJ just secured a landmark settlement from Texas Children’s Hospital, forcing an end to its irreversible sex-change practices on kids, $10 million in penalties, and the creation of the nation’s first detransition clinic. James Talarico, as the ad makes clear, would put an end to all of the progress lawmakers have made to end the scourge of child mutilation masquerading as care.”

“Dr. Talarico” is the opening shot in APP PAC’s $10 million midterm campaign. The initial buy will be digital, with the organization preparing additional campaigns in Wisconsin, Georgia and other battleground states.
