Jon Schweppe currently serves as a senior advisor at American Principles Project. Previously, he served in the Trump Administration as Senior Policy Advisor to Chairman Andrew Ferguson at the Federal Trade Commission.

Schweppe is an alumnus of the Claremont Institute’s Lincoln Fellowship. He has been published in a number of publications, including The New York Post, The American Mind, First Things, Newsweek, The Federalist, The Washington Examiner, and the Daily Caller. He also publishes the Populist Solutions substack. In 2022 and 2023, The Washingtonian named Schweppe to its “Most Influential People Shaping Policy” list for his work on Big Tech.

Prior to first joining APP in 2014, Schweppe worked on several political campaigns, focusing mainly on communications and policy. He is a graduate of Augustana College, where he majored in Economics and Finance.
