Summary

This Act precludes states and educational agencies from allocating Federal funds to an elementary or secondary school that promotes race-based theories or compels teachers or students to affirm, adhere to, adopt, or profess beliefs contrary to title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It further precludes Federal funding from being awarded a higher education institution for similar reasons.

Goals

  • Maintain trust in the public education system.
  • Decrease parent-child division.
  • Prevent indoctrination in schools.

Analysis

Critical Race Theory is a controversial and false Marxist theory that places race at the center of history. It demands children feel guilty and seek justice for past racial injustices of which they were not a part and is often taught without parental consent. As the family is the first school of moral and civic education, schools must respect parental authority and cease teaching material aimed at incriminating and shaming a large sum of American citizens.
