We are seeking a Development Relations Associate to support our fundraising and donor relations efforts by managing and analyzing donor data. This role is essential to maintaining the integrity of our donor database, tracking fundraising metrics, and supporting development strategies. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a nonprofit fundraising environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the donor database (PipeDrive, Little Green Light, etc.), ensuring data accuracy and completeness
- Process donation imports, generate acknowledgment letters, and track donor communications
- Communicate donor birthdays and special occasions to the Development team to ensure timely acknowledgement
- Create and analyze reports on donor giving trends, campaign performance, and fundraising metrics
- Assist in donor segmentation, prospect research, and data-driven fundraising strategies
- Support event planning by managing invite lists, tracking attendance, and compiling post-event reports
- Work with the Development team to ensure seamless data entry and reconciliation with finance records
- Improve and implement best practices for data hygiene, donor record management, and reporting
- Assist in the creation of donor correspondences
- Execution of thank you calls to donors
- Handle the incoming and outgoing mail
- Ensure and maintain donor meeting materials
- Serve as a front-facing representative of the Development team, engaging directly with donors and supporting positive donor relationships
Experience/Education/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
- Experience with donor databases/CRM systems (Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Experience generating and interpreting reports to support fundraising efforts
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Previous experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or data management is a plus
